flat bread

this is my super life save bread, doesn’t require any effort, no techniques nor complicated ingredients and can be used in so many ways.

all you need to do stay away from anything greasy while making it to allow it to Buff while cooking, other than that i just love how it buffs up every time i put it on the pan, then i make sandwiches with it such as shawrma or falafel, or i simply cut it into triangles to place them aside with dippings.

recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups white flour

1 Tbsp. dry yeast

1 Tbsp. salt

Warm water

Method:

In a small bowl Mix the yeast with ½  cup of warm water and set aside for few minutes till it becomes foamy.

Mix together flour and salt then add yeast mixture, start adding warm water gradually and knead the dough till it forms a playable dough that does not stick to your hands.

Transform the dough into a bowl dusted with flour, cover with kitchen towel and allow to rest for 2 hours or until it is X2 the size.

On a clean surface dust, some flour or fine semolina and roll out the dough into ½ cm thick then cut it into circle, the size you desire.

Heat a flat frying pan, place the bread on it for 2 minutes and wait till it buffs and makes a shell, flip it on the other side for another 2 minutes then transform it to a clean kitchen towel and cover it to stay soft.

Continue with the rest of the dough till you are done, can be used for sandwiches or even as a side dish with different type of dipping

​المقادير :

2 كوب دقيق

1 م.ك خميرة

1 م.ك مسطحة ملح

ماء دافئ للعجن

الطريقة:

تخلط الخميرة مع مقدار نصف كوب ماء دافئ و تترك جانبا

يخلط الدقيق و الملح جيدا ثم يضاف اليهم خليط الخميرة و نضيف الماء تدريجيا مع العجن الى ان نحصل على عجينة رطبة لا تلتصق

توضع العجينة في وعاء و تغطى بالنايلون .. تترك لتخمر في مكان دافئ على الاقل ساعة او الى ان يتضاعف حجمها

ترق العجينة على سطح الطاولة بالدقيق حتى لا تلتصق مع تحريك العجينة

لضمان عدم التصاقها … ترق بسمك 1/2 سم تقريبا و تقطع دوائر حسب الحجم المرغوب فيه

تحمى مقلاة ذات سطح افقى على النار و توضع اقراص الخبز مباشرة بدون استعمال اي نوع من الدهون …

بعد ان ينتفخ الخبز يقلب على الطرف الاخر …

يوضع الخبز مباشرة في منشفة مطبخ و يغطى لضمان عدم جفافه
